angioclinic Venenzentrum Zürich

Radiofrequency therapies such as ClosureFast/Venefit® orCELON-RFITT work with an electrically generated heat effect. Radiofrequency treatment is technically simpler (probe instead of catheter system) than with older lasers (modern lasers also work as a probe). Therefore, radiofrequency is traditionally popular among new, less experienced users.

In the USA, ClosureFast/Venefit® is the most widespread, because simplest system – but the way Americans (and many Swiss) use it – with 500 to 800 ml of anesthetic fluid – the success is at best average.

As with all angioclinic® methods, the vein center Zurich adds a special optical control (ultrasound) and precise adjustment of the vein diameter (CPLA, coaxial perivenous local anesthesia), resulting in a well-dosed and

particularly precise application.

A newly developed radiofrequency system (EVRF, F-Care) could offer advantages in the rapid regression of treated veins. The angioclinic research department is also working on a further optimized radiofrequency.
