Do I have to wear Compression Stockings?
In the past, compression stockings were prescribed to every vein patient. In Switzerland there is a great and meritorious tradition in the knowledge of compression treatments. Some powerful and globally renowned manufacturers of compression media (e.g. Sigvaris and Salzmann-Medico) also come from Switzerland and produce in Switzerland.
Modern knowledge about the development of vein weakness, varicose veins and spider veins (cf. ultrasound analyses by Dr Ragg) shows that every human being has very different needs with regard to his or her vein condition due to his or her predisposition, muscle condition, type of previous and current physical activity, training condition, metabolic factors and other influences.
Only on the basis of the sonographic valve and tissue analysis by Dr Ragg can a truly individual consultation on the sense and nonsense of compression stockings take place. Good news: All venous treatments of the angioclinic® venous centers can be performed today without compression stockings due to a patent of Dr Ragg. So you can shower, bathe, swim or exercise immediately.
This offer is only available for Switzerland at the angioclinic® Vein Center Zurich. Today's vein patients are active, well informed and determined people who can be trained just as successfully to avoid vein problems as dentists have done with tooth preservation. Rule: those who move little, sit and stand a lot need more support from compression media than those who move a lot in everyday life and above all walk a lot.
There are compression stockings in countless colours and materials, especially for rest periods, sports and air travel. Most products are no longer medical, they are 'functional stockings'. Tip: let Dr Ragg and his team examine and advise you.
